Low Flow, Styles and Tricks, each judged out of 50 by three specialist judges. Same categories on Friday and Saturday, different level of competitor.
Entering the right division is on you. Not sure? Email us before you enter. If we find you've entered Amateurs wrongly before judging starts, you're moved up. Once judging has started, it's a disqualification, with no refund. Nobody gets judged twice.

Rising competitors. High energy, big moments, a crowd that's completely behind you. You can enter Amateurs if all of these are true:

Doubles: both of you have to qualify as Amateurs, or the pair enters Semi-Pro+.

Semi-Pro+
Experienced and advanced performers. You must enter Semi-Pro+ if any of these are true:
Semi-Pro+ is for anyone who's been paid for their skills. Getting paid to teach or to perform shows professional-level expertise and experience in front of people, and that's what separates the divisions.
You can enter Semi-Pro+ without meeting any of these. Just know who you'll be up against.

Low Flow keeps it close to the ground, but this is still a pole competition. Nothing above what you can reach standing flat on the floor. Musicality and originality carry this category. Floorwork is encouraged, and the challenge is making low, technical pole work look effortless and interesting.
How unique were the moves and combinations performed. Did they show interesting transitions and creative use of the pole low.
Did the music feel like part of the performance.
How hard were the skills performed. Did the competitor show creative and technical basework.
How entertaining was the routine, did they engage the audience.
No part of the body may touch the pole above what you can reach standing flat on the floor.

The focus shifts away from trick difficulty and toward storytelling. Use your dance style to paint us a picture and bring the performance to life. Character, theme, theatre.
How unique was the theme, and how well was the pole incorporated into the chosen theme.
How entertaining was the routine, did they engage the audience. Did they take the audience on a journey.
How well were the skills performed within the context of the performance. Did they serve the story and theme?
Did the music feel like part of the performance.
Skills used to score how hard. Now it scores how well, in service of the story. Styles should be won by the best performance, not the hardest tricks.

All about the tricks. Flexy shapes, flips, drops, and combos nobody else is doing. Pull out your most impressive material. Execution counts as much as difficulty, so land it clean.
How hard were the skills performed. Did the competitor show extreme strength or extreme flexibility.
How unique were the tricks performed. Did they have interesting transitions. Did the competitor show a wide range of skills.
Were all the tricks and transitions performed to a high standard.
How entertaining was the routine, did they engage the audience.
